If the help provided below does not resolve your problem then please contact us. We would appreciate any information regarding any problems you have come across, as it will enable us to provide better support for Linux users in the future. Linux platforms supportedPlease note that only the x86 platform is supported at present, which means that only machines running with Intel or AMD processors will be able to run our games. Software installationPlease ensure that your system meets the minimum specifications outlined on the pages for all the software available, as we can't guarantee the software will work if it does not. It is also highly recommended that you try any available demo version before purchasing a full version to ensure compatibility if necessary. In addition to meeting the hardware requirements for any game, it is always good practice to ensure that any drivers are also up to date. Your graphics card and sound card should be kept up to date in particular, as these can have an impact on performance. Please visit the respective sites of your hardware manufacturers for the latest drivers. All software is provided in TAR.GZ form. This means that you will need to extract the files to a folder in your 'home' or 'root' folder to install the software (you will need root access for the latter). OpenGLAll of out titles require OpenGL to be enabled. Also note that you will need to ensure that hardware acceleration is enabled as a software renderer will be too slow. You can update OpenGL by either visiting the manufacturer's site for your graphics card or by downloading a package via the package manager that came with your version of Linux. Additional information for enabling 3D acceleration will be available from the support forums of your particular distro. |
